OUR MISSION
Our organization works in support of HeForShe, whose mission statement is as follows:
"The world is at a turning point. People everywhere understand and support the idea of gender equality. They know it’s not just a women’s issue, it’s a human rights issue. And when these powerful voices are heard, they will change the world. The time for that change is now.
HeForShe is inviting people around the world to stand together to create a bold, visible force for gender equality. And it starts by taking action right now to create a gender equal world."
OUR HISTORY
HeForShe was introduced to the world in 2014 by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and popular UN Global Goodwill Ambassador Emma Watson. HeForShe is a global campaign "providing a systematic approach and targeted platform through which men and boys become agents of change for the achievement of gender equality."
Our OSU chapter was introduced to campus in 2016. As a club, we aim to educate, unify, and promote ideas of intersectional feminism on our campus as well as raising funds and donating to disadvantaged peoples.

President
Erin Litzler
"My name is Erin! I'm a fourth year marketing major, and I am this year's president for HeForShe. I joined HFS when I transferred to OSU for my sophomore year because I wanted to get involved in a club that supports and talks about the issues that I am passionate about. I have learned so much in this club, and I love the friendships I've formed through it. My favorite HFS memory is definitely the Aggie Fund Gala last year."

I was hanging out with our my roommate (our current Madame Vice President, Hayley) and together we narrowed down the orgs. we wanted to check out, one of which was HeForShe. The free pins and talking to Lizzy (our past President) pulled me in and the rest is history!"
Emma Keysor
"Hi, I'm Emma, and I'm a fourth year marketing major. I'm a general exec. member of HeForShe, and I also help update our website! I joined HeForShe last year because I love learning about and discussing feminism. HeForShe is a great club because we don't only focus on one issue; we focus on intersectionality and the importance of gender equality. It really helps open the discussion up to people of all genders, races, sexualities, etc. I really value and love all the friends I've met through this club!
